The 17th century manoir de Plessix is located between Rennes and Angers. The genuine feel of its history has been conserved and is beautifully set off by the nearby presence of the stunning Roche-aux-fées area.
Legend has it that the stones of the dolmen of la Roche-aux fées were carried here by fairies in their smocks. At the winter solstice, the sun’s rays pass right along the corridor alignment – and it is this same magical feel that imbues the manoir du Plessix, just 8km from the megalithic site, on a daily basis. The lady of the house has done up two family suites and an apartment on two floors (70 m²) with a lounge and kitchen corner. Guests enjoy their meals and breakfast under the exposed beams of a large, charming dining room in tones of leather, oak and terracotta. In wintertime, romantic couples will love dining by the blazing fireplace. There are some great excursions to be taken in the surrounding area too, including the medieval town of Châteaugiron and the main market of Guerche-de-Bretagne .
