Welcome to the Castle

Fancy sleeping in a four-poster bed and then enjoying breakfast on a terrace overlooking the castle grounds? The 17 members of the ‘Bienvenue au Château’ network in Brittany invite you to imagine you’re Lord of the manor - for a short while at any rate!

Enjoy an afternoon strolling amongst the ancient trees in Lamballe, learn the art of topiary in Bazouges-la-Pérouze, or just relax and enjoy the delightful scent of old roses near Guérande.

The most recently built of these properties date back to the 19th century, and all are surrounded by magnificent gardens, laid out in keeping with the building’s architecture.

‘Bienvenue au Château’ celebrated its 20th birthday in 2010 and now numbers 142 castles, châteaux and private residences throughout western France.
