Over on the north coast, not far from the bird sanctuary, you’ll see the traces of the old grey granite quarries whose stone covers many a Parisian pavement. The Dourlin campsite right by the sea is an ideal base for exploring the area and you can bring your tent, caravan or camper-van. If you feel hungry, Le Bout D’l’île next door serves crêpes, salads and mussels. At low tide you can walk to the other islets, though you should be careful to keep a close eye on the time and the tide!
