Close to La Baule and the Morbihan beaches, a warm, sumptuous hotel of considerable refinement in a simply marvellous setting.

As an example of an historic residence converted into a beautiful hotel, this is hard to beat. Magnificent grounds with centuries-old trees and a lake, a golf course bordered by hydrangeas and rhododendrons, and a 15th century castle whose outbuildings have been converted into the luxury Hotel & Spa La Bretesche. The luxury rooms and suites, in a mixture of contemporary and traditional styles, look out over the lake or inner courtyard. The bar, occupying the former stables, is the place to go before trying the Le Club brasserie or the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Le Montaigu. The chef brings a mixture of Brittany and Provence to his cuisine and you can remove the excess calories by visiting the Spa, which has the Cinq Mondes label. With golf, tennis, indoor and outdoor pools, cooking lessons, wine tasting... you won't want to leave this enchanting place.
