La Sainte-Catherine celebrates crêpes
Here Catherinettes don’t wear hats; instead they are filled with caramel and pan-fried apples. Not to mention the savoury dishes!
Monique Le Berre is so fond of her customers that she lets them put their photos and paintings up on the walls of the Crêperie Sainte-Catherine… This true generosity is also shown in this unique crêperie’s dishes and in the way its dining room offers a view of Quimper Cathedral. The generosity of its miraculous seafood galette (savoury buckwheat pancake) with mussels, cockles, queen scallops and prawns, spiced up with mushrooms and a saffron sauce! And just imagine the contrast between sweet and savoury in the ‘Bigoudène’, with its black pudding pan-fried with apples, and deglazed with raspberry vinegar. And now from the sweet and savoury to the purely sweet in no time at all, and just as well, as the famous Catherinettes are already here: thick wheat galette crumble, caramelised apples and granita. There’s even a children’s menu! Yes, generosity’s the word.
