You won’t get tired of Gérard Glémont’s shrine to shellfish with dynamic chef, Dylan Pochat, in charge of cuisine!
Hostellerie de la Mer almost hovers over the ocean overlooking the Rade de Brest. With sea view tables - so close to the sea that you could almost touch it – what else would you eat here, but... pork of course. The confit of pork, cooked gently for about ten hours, is particularly popular. You should have known you’d be in for a surprise at Gérard Glémont’s establishment, set in a beautiful Breton house, but don’t worry, you'll still get your fix of seafood and shellfish, the house specialities. You’ll find all the favourites here like lobster, oysters, monkfish casserole and seafood stews, fine sardine tart etc. Gérard Glémot has made sure that nobody nods off in their plate by cleverly putting Dylan Pochat in charge of cuisine. He throws himself into the job whole heartedly with trips to the market each morning, creating uncluttered spicy dishes and emulsions.
