La Torche, La Palue, L'île aux vaches, La baie des Trépassés, and many other famous breton spots  attract riders from all over the world. Surf, funboard, windsurf, kite-surf, good vibes in any way, and for all levels.
No need to travel far to get powerful gliding sensations. As Sebastien Billois, a specialized photographer, says: “ Brittany bears all you need. Fairy landscapes, waves of all forms and qualities, for all tastes. Big, long, small, short, smooth, tensed, hollow. Even in the English Channel.[...] Still, the south of Brittany and the Finistère get the bigger part of the waves. [But] don't think that surfing is rare in the north. As soon as a depression shows up over the british islands, waves come rolling in full blast, from Meledan to Saint Malo.”(“Le frisson breton” Attitude Surf, july 2003)
All year through, breton coastside is welcoming beginners as well as riders who want to improve. They can all count on qualified professionals to guide them. (Ecoles de Surf en Bretagne, Ecole française de voile, Ecole française de Kite...)
As regards the professionals, national and international competitions take place in a regular way on the beaches of Carnac (Windsurf Tour), La Torche (French Surf Championship), or Trebeurden (Tregor Kite Party). These events provide great occasions to admire favourite champions, like Pauline Ado, Fausine Merret, Julien Quetel, Mathieu Bono or Patrice Belbéoc'h. Good occasion also to meet the gliding “tribes” and share your passion and values carried by this sport.
And why not climb the highest step of the podium?
