Sand-yachting

Sand-yachting in Brittany means intense sensations.
The first flurry of emotions comes with the sumptuous settings and breath-taking landscapes. It is followed by the thrill of incredible gliding sensations, facing the ocean, on the sandy beaches of Cherrueix (Ille-et-Vilaine), Penthièvre (Quiberon), or Les Rosaires (Saint-Brieuc). Sand-sports, like sand-yacht, speed-sail, kite-buggy, are more and more popular in this region. And for good reasons. The techniques are easy to take in, and the sensations are immediat. They will appeal to all speed lovers, to those who feel at ease on dry land, and to believers in the line of the least resistance.
The sand yacht is generally composed of a chassis set upon three wheels, and a sail. The pilot, sitting or laying in sort of a tub, holds on to a rope steering the sail.

Speed-sail is something inbetween a surf-board and a skate-board. All you have to do is jump on.
Less well-known than speed-sail, the kite-buggy becomes very popular. It looks like a giant tricycle, driven by a kite. Directions are given with foot pedals, and you use your arms to guide the kite. The buggy needs little space, and can entirely be taken to pieces.
