Accessible Brittany

Brittany – a great destination that's accessible to everyone!

In Brittany we want everyone to be able to enjoy our tourist facilities, accommodation and activities.

To make sure your holiday in Brittany offers comfort and independence, look for places that have been awarded the ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ seal of approval for the four main types of disability: hearing, visual, mobility and cognitive/learning impairment.

The ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ seal of approval

The ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ scheme, which now has over 100 members in Brittany, aims to ensure that people with disabilities are welcomed in the best possible conditions whenever they use tourist facilities. Founded in 2001 by the Ministry responsible for tourism, the ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ scheme looks at the accessibility of holiday areas, leisure facilities and cultural attractions to people with the main kinds of disability (mobility, visual, hearing and learning).

It therefore provides reliable, objective information about the relevant tourist facilities, guaranteeing completely independent access and a level of comfort and care that meets customers’ needs.
The seal of approval is awarded for one, two, three or all four disabilities, each of which is indicated by a specific icon.
