Festival Lieux Mouvants

Lanrivain : 8 July to 27 August 2023

Every year an unusual, off-beat festival takes place in the heart of Brittany that combines major artists, innovative shows, naturalists and pop-up gardens. Head to Saint-Antoine, Lanrivain and the surrounding areas to enjoy some amazing cultural experiences in the garden.

Cultural encounters in gardens

Over a period of three months, covering 13 weekends, the Festival Lieux Mouvants (Festival of moving places) brings you a series of unusual experiences in the centre of Brittany. Enjoy some off-beat encounters with artists and personalities from all backgrounds including Cédric Villani, Annie Ebrel, Pierre Rabhi and Erik Orsenna. You’ll get to see villages, sites and gardens that are off the beaten track and really quite magical. You’ll also enjoy artistic works such as installations and shows that have been created on site by artists such as Daniel Buren, Sophie Calle and Boris Charmatz, or exhibited in highly unusual ways. By opening the doors to their secret gardens, the people at ‘Dialogues avec la nature’ allow you to explore a central Brittany that is ‘as big as the world’. It’s a highly original initiative that’s becoming more and more popular, centred around a series of vivid experiences that everyone can share.

If you want to make the most of this event, consider a Carte Pass, which allows you to attend every event of the season.
