Algues au rythme

Arradon in action
Concert, Festival, Young people, World Music, Cultural in Arradon
  • Every year local bands battle it out to appear at the modestly-sized 'Algues au rythme' festival which sets up shop mid-May in a large marquee in Arradon, in the Gulf of Morbihan. The festival showcases current music trends with obviously catchy tunes, but you won't hear anyone complaining!

Without fail each edition of the festival - which recently moved to a large marquee on a site in Balvras - starts with a bang and finishes on its last legs. Les Ogres de Barback, Manu Dibango, Yann Tiersen and Winston McAnuff have all featured at the Algues festival, whose line-up has always oscillated between up-to-the-minute international artists and showcasing local talent. Drift into uncharted waters with a festival that is completely green, decidedly friendly and very musical. This Arradon event is certain to become legendary.
