Steven and his associates discovered the Celtic, a superb 17m contemporary schooner, in the Mediterranean. It is inspired by a mythical privateer sailing ship from the Anglo-American war of 1812. It was sailed to Brittany and the new captain converted it into a mobile sailing school, based in Brest. It’s an “old-style school” where you learn to navigate without electronic tools. Instead, you use a map, compass, sextant, etc. All over the Breton coast, Steven will teach you the specific manoeuvres of a traditional schooner with five sails, to the rhythm of the tides and the weather. During a two to six-day course, you will quickly develop the ecological sailor inside you as you make the most of the sea. The comfortable sailing ship has eight berths, a large saloon and a spacious bathroom. What are you waiting for to set sail?
