  • You’ll be blown away at this Auberge by Sylvain Guillemot’s startling, snappy, sumptuous cuisine and his wife Marie-Pierre's smiling service.

This is a family establishment with a family welcome and when you see its rustic setting -pretty bridge, quaint lock and water flowing past - on the banks of the Vilaine, you’ll think you have come to a quiet little restaurant. All smiles, Marie-Pierre Guillemot and her team get you seated... and suddenly WHAM, the first surprise hits you: an airy buckwheat appetizer or foie gras ravioli. You’ll be stunned yet again when you taste the bean crunch with apricot, lobster and raw beetroot. This is cuisine that tantalises taste-buds and sends you soaring; cuisine which is fundamentally Breton, like its creator Sylvain Guillemot, who gives us the kind of mean and marvellous surprise we all love. You weren’t expecting to be swept away at this seemingly tranquil location, but doesn’t it feel great? Oh and in winter, the house speciality is truffles... come and sniff them out!
