Along the road to Trégunc, the Concarneau biscuit factory sells typical souvenirs from Brittany and the region's best pastries, all made on the spot.
Behind the big window, the pastry chefs are hard at work. Dressed in their whites, they create the assorted fresh delicacies displayed on the shelves of this very well-stocked shop. It's not possible to tour the kitchens, but the treats are easy to get your hands on! Various types of Breton biscuits and cakes - kouign-amann, galettes, palets, and then the "crakous", madeleines and crêpes dentelle.. and salted caramel and jams as well... Plus many more of Brittany's local specialities, to be stored in the cupboard or the cellar - soups, sardines, mead, pommeau (an apple-based apéritif), beer... it's a real Aladdin's cave here in the Cornwall of France. For group visits, free tastings are offered.
