For a complete change of scene, 'Breizh Polynesia' offers an original sailing option: a Polynesian pirogue (or Va’a). As well as all-year-round training, the organisation occasionally offers introductory courses and trips that are open to everyone.Situated at the Guidel-Plages marina, 'Breizh Polynesia' gives you the chance to discover the most popular sport in Polynesia! Whether for fun or competition, training is offered all-year-round on board one of the club’s 1 to 6 person pirogues. As sailing a Polynesian pirogue is a very physical sport, these sessions are only available to adults and teenagers over the age of 15. “Normally we sail out at sea, but when conditions are too rough we also train on the river Laïta,” say Gérard Deshayes, manager of 'Breizh Polynesia'. The organisation occasionally offers introductory courses and trips for the general public, especially during the watersports festival. A 12-seater family pirogue, fitted with an engine, means children can try it too. 'Breizh Polynesia' can also organise group bookings on request.
