The Camping Gwel Kaer is by the sea, facing the port of Le Fret, noted for its production of Coquilles St. Jacques (scallops). With its terraced layout, it has a gorgeous, panoramic, view across to Brest harbour. Having direct access to the sea, all the usual activities are available, with mooring facilities affording an added advantage if you have your own boat. The Crozon peninsula is particularly rich in beautiful footpaths, beaches hidden in little creeks, and majestic cliffs defying the waves. All around are magnificent hydrangeas, and if you venture as far as one of the typical Breton villages, pancakes and other Breton delicacies await you.
