  • Portsall’s natural harbour is home to Ploudalmezeau water sports centre at one of North Brittany’s most authentic ports. To reach it from the sea, you need to deal with the currents around the rocks.

It is difficult to enter this little harbour nestling in the North Brittany coastline. Inside however, the sheltered waters offer a sailing area that is protected from the swell and currents making it a good place to learn. The centre is open from the Easter holidays through the summer. It offers group sessions and individual lessons as well as hiring out equipment: optimists, sea kayaks, wave skis, catamarans, windsurfing board and open bics. The centre is in fact a member of the Iroise area water sports club, which brings together centres at Plougonvelin, Portsall-Ploudalmezeau, Argenton and Plouarzel. Each centre has its own style and speciality, but there is just one address and phone number to enable you to have four times the choice.
