  • Head for Groix, Belle-Île and the Glénan archipelago on board a 21 metre former racing boat. Lorient is your departure point for an unforgettable sailing experience.

Challenge Océan has a fleet of very attractive maxi-monohulls. Designed for ocean racing, these graceful sailing boats, measuring 21 metres, give you a tremendous sensation of speed. During the summer, the Lorient-based ship-owners offer day-trips and half-days on boats that are rather special. "They were built to sail round the world against the wind," explains company director Valdo Dhoyer, whose business is recycling racing vessels. "So they're solidly-built. You won't find many like this in Brittany." Challenge Océan also provides 3-, 7- and 14-day courses in basic or advanced sailing skills, in coastal waters and on the open sea.
