The Benoît cider farm, set in the countryside near Lamballe, welcomes visitors to its orchards and lets them into the secrets of organic cider production.Reintroduced on the family dairy farm nearly 20 years ago, Perst cider is now produced on four hectares of orchards where friendly sheep graze peacefully. Cultivation is organic, and the apple varieties grown are Douce Moën, Peau de Chien, Fréquin Rouge and Chevalier Jaune. By prior arrangement, the cider house opens its workshops for a one-hour visit that takes you through each step of the production process - harvesting, pressing, bottling - and also orchard maintenance. You can discover the end results in the shop. The Cidrerie Benedict, an established favourite with the local crêperies, produces dry and sweet ciders, along with all the other apple-based gastronomic products - apple juice, apple vinegar, apple brandy, apple jelly etc.
