  • Just a stone’s throw from Europe’s tallest lighthouse built at sea, Plougerneau water sports centre allows you to discover Vierge Island for fun from the sea.

Aboard an old sailing vessel or a racing catamaran, Vierge Island is a destination that Plouguerneau Water Sports Centre invites you to discover. “We have two traditional Breton cutters from North Finistère, which are really useful for these trips to Vierge Island. It’s a great way of diving into the atmosphere? Younger people nevertheless prefer racing catamarans.” Setting out from the Plouguerneau Water Sports centre it takes less than an hour to reach the lighthouse, which towers above the Abers region. The Kindergarten welcomes children from the age of 4 to 7 and the kid’s club is for 6 to 8 year olds. Beginners’ sessions and training is also available on a catamaran and for windsurfing. Finally, equipment can be hired to sail around as you wish.
