Chez le Mari de Cécile

Crêperie "Chez le Mari de Cécile"

A child-friendly crêperie
Restaurant, Vegetarian food, Creperie at Landivisiau*
  • This crêperie is installed in a children's bookshop in Landivisiau, and children and their parents will find everything they need to have a great time...

The name displayed on the shopfront is an unusual one: Chez le mari de Cécile ('Cécile's husband's place'). "Before I set up the business, lots of people round here knew my wife more than me, so they used to call me 'Cécile's husband'. One day I said, as a joke, that if ever I opened a shop I would call it 'Cécile's husband's place!' This crêperie, established in a children's bookshop, is certainly not lacking in either imagination or in quality. You can see it both in the great products that go into the food: Molène sausages, andouille (tripe sausage) from Plouay, coffee from Coïc (a local coffee-roasting business), cider from southern Finistère...and the interesting combinations such as the ewe's cheese and Morello cherry jam galette (savoury buckwheat pancake), or the one with curry, courgette and goats' cheese! Plus, this crêperie is obviously child-friendly. "They can look at the books on sale, play with the games we've provided, do some colouring...This summer they'll have outside games, and I'm thinking of doing birthday parties too."
