  • If you’re keen on modern art, architecture and galettes (buckwheat pancakes), Landerneau is the place for you! After visiting the 'Fonds Hélène et Edouard Leclerc' for a cultural feast, head for the famous Rohan Bridge over the River Elorn for a colourful meal.

    In Landerneau, also known as the Cité de la Lune, the inhabited bridge was built in 1510 by the Duc de Rohan at the end of an 'aber' (deep estuary). This means those lucky people sitting on the terrace of Didier Cabon’s crêperie can enjoy watching the rise and fall of the tides. Didier has been a butcher for 25 years and makes his own white pudding that forms the topping to one of his galettes when Christmas comes. To this he adds duck fillet, baked figs, foie gras, sautéed potatoes and balsamic vinegar … enough to make you start believing in Santa all over again! In his smart dining-room, with its visible stonework, you can also try his “Exquise du Pont”, a not-to-be-missed pancake with dried figs, juicy apricots and sautéed apple, served with homemade vanilla ice-cream and crème Chantilly, with a coulis of salted caramel made with the restaurant’s own butter. Depending on the season, Didier offers a variant that uses quince or Plougastel strawberries.
