Crêperie Saint Corentin
A galette that gives you a first-class experience
Although the centre of Quimper has lots of crêperies, the more gourmet versions are sometimes hidden away from the tourist trail. Close to the station, Julie has opened an establishment that's as dynamic and unconventional as she is. The menu boasts seasonal galettes that are appealing and full of surprises. In order to track down this small and intimate crêperie, you have to pass through a porch to get to the end of a cul-de-sac. With its retro shopfront that takes you back in time and its deliberately kitsch decor (it’s what Julie wanted) you might think you'd been transported back to your granny’s attic. The crockery is ancient, there’s an old wireless set, old headdresses, enamelled advert signs from the 1950s and even a special corner full of games to keep the children amused. For Julie, who insists on serving seasonal organic food, the quality of the produce is what really counts. Leeks, spinach, peppers, tomatoes, cauliflowers or parsnips emerge from her pan crisp and tasty and are served to accompany dishes such as mini-fillets of curried farm-fresh chicken or smoked salmon from the Pointe du Raz. For dessert you'll love the divine home-made Stang Réo ice-creams!
