  • Generous savoury buckwheat galettes and sweet crêpes are the trademark of this eatery, the only one in town.

It’s the only place in town! So you might as well stop, all the more so as the sweet crêpes and savoury buckwheat galettes are good and generous. Remember we’re in the countryside here. The 200 inhabitants of Saint-Méloir-des-Bois are not easily satisfied with a thin butter crêpe! No, at the Sucré Salé, it’s more about a well-cooked Savoyarde, great Guéméné suckling pig and andouille (spicy sausage), mustard cream and a fried egg… Here they also love ‘galichons’, the irregular-shaped mini-crêpes “which our grandmothers used to make with the batter that was left in the bowl”, explains Sylvain Nogues. They also love hearty meals, which is perfect because Sylvain offers a “kig ha farz” (Breton dish of meat and buckwheat dough with vegetables) every Sunday lunchtime by reservation only”. And don’t think customers from Rennes and Saint Brieuc are here by accident!
