  • Where the mountains meet the sea, you’ll find Ty Maï, a crêperie–cum-chalet serving specialities from the mountains and Brittany.

Just 150m from the beach, Sylvie Le Creurer’s crêperie, Ty Maï, looks like a little chalet, with its rendered walls and panelling and whipped cream for dessert. But from start to finish, the journey is worth the detour. With her savoury buckwheat pancakes, or galettes, Sylvie the Breton will carry you from Menez Hom to Aber Ildut, with local sausages prepared in white wine and onions, via the Montagnes Noires (Black Mountains), with melted Raclette cheese and potato, to the Côte Sauvage (Wilderness Coast) with its fine scallops wrapped in bacon, served in a pepper sauce, flambéed with whisky. There’s even one named ‘Ch’ti’ after people living in the Calais area, filled with Maroilles, Reblochon, Camembert and potatoes. For dessert, travel from island to island, especially with Marquise de Paradis and its amazing gourmet islets of whipped cream!
