Come and meet Madame Danet at the Dan Ewen in Vannes
Discover this rustic crêperie in the heart of Vannes’ old town – former home of saints, by the Morbihan islands.Discover the atmosphere of the Saint-Patern district in Vannes' historic walled town and this 16th century building, whose facade is listed as a historic monument. “The interior is in-keeping”, explains the owner, Françoise Danet. “Exposed beams, tables, chairs and chandeliers from Brittany, like most of the furniture...” It is hard to imagine a more beautifully decorated Breton crêperie. The menu also plunges diners into the regional culture, "as all our buckwheat specialities are named after Breton saints, Celtic lands or Morbihan islands". The names of the crêpes, on the other hand, are inspired by the legend of King Arthur, with ‘Fée Morgane’ topped with mango ice cream, fresh fruit, fresh strawberry coulis and Chantilly cream. Local produce is used as much as possible at this crêperie, home to real pancake expertise.
