In a beautifully restored farm, this museum traces five centuries of developments in farming: everyday life, farm work, working environment and agriculture, up to the modern day.
With exhibits on three floors, the ecomuseum traces the history of the Bintinais farm, one of the largest farms in the Rennes area and just outside the town itself. The museum looks five centuries of science and technology, nutrition, environment and agricultural production in the Rennes area. Reconstruction of the farm rooms, objects, machines and furniture bear witness to this evolution, while documentary films and interactive games enhance the staged reconstructions. In order to get the most out of the farm animal trail and the 15 hectare agricultural area, allow 1and a half hours for your visit. In the grounds, cultivated plants, hardy Breton breeds, orchards and gardens illustrate the development of farming in Brittany. -
