Festival de Lanvellec et du Trégor

Concert, Lecture, Festival, Classical music, Sacred music in Lanvellec
  • The Lanvellec Festival is one of the major events in the world of Baroque music, combining period instruments with forgotten sonorities and the architectural jewels of the Trégorroise region. Over three weekends, let yourself be captivated by this very special alchemy, and captured by the bewitching power of music that echoes "love's torment".

  • Originally centred around Robert Dalam's organ, a Baroque jewel listed as a Historic Monument, housed in the church of Lanvellec, the festival has been making early music resonate throughout the Trégor every year for over thirty years. Lute, harpsichord, harp, theorbo, viola da gamba, cornet, sackbut... played by virtuoso instrumentalists, bring back all the flavour of the original tunes. Carried by the voices of inspired performers, this musical journey over 3 weekends and 9 concerts...

To accompany the concerts, two lectures by a musicologist will shed light on the programme. It's a seductive cultural journey that's a must for your October diary!
