The Camping de Conleau is moored up right opposite the ‘mini-sea’ just a stone’s throw from Vannes town centre. This is a perfect spot for making the most of the best that the Gulf of Morbihan has to offer.

The campsite is named after the Conleau peninsula, which encloses the south entrance to Vannes, and shelters a vast open-air seawater swimming pool. The campsite’s 250 plots feature a wide range of accommodation including mobile homes and tents of various kinds. The site itself is in a natural maritime setting that’s highly conducive to rest and relaxation. There’s a snack bar here in summer as well as a grocery store and activities for younger holidaymakers. A heated pool is planned for 2012 – the beach has always been here though, and is just 500 metres away. Watersports activities are available nearby including sea kayaking and dinghy sailing, and there’s a wide variety of landscapes and natural environments to explore in the vicinity either on foot, by bike or on horseback - whatever takes your fancy! Other good ideas for a day out within reach include a walk around the Vannes city wall gardens and a cruise to the islands in the Gulf of Morbihan.
