  • While the current layout dates back to 1992, Pornic golf course is actually one of the oldest in the region, as the original 9 holes were created in 1912.

Like most of the older French golf clubs, Pornic was created at a time when the first seaside resorts were being developed to meet the expectations of well-off holidaymakers, who were often British. Eight decades after it opened, the course was expanded to 18 holes by Michel Gayon, a change designed to meet the requirements of modern golfers. A section on open ground was added to the initial wooded course, which adds variety and interest to this par 72 6,082 metre course. While dotted with numerous bunkers which require caution, overall the course remains accessible and enjoyable for players of all levels.
