  • An early 20th century villa on the Sables Blancs beach completely rigged out with maritime furnishings.

To create the Hotel Kermoor, Michel Violent decked out his birthplace like a boat at anchor. A cabinet-maker by trade, he has chosen top quality, sea-air resistant woods - floors in Burma teak, bar in Indonesian ebony, reception in wenge, plus Adirondack chairs, bronze portholes, etc. The wooden terraces overlooking the water are like ships’ decks, the 11 bedrooms, each with a sea view, are like ship’s cabins and contain genuine ship’s furniture, and the reception desk is the former post office kiosk from the ferry that once sailed between Concarneau and Reykjavik!! Every object has been personally chosen or made by this passionate fan of all things connected with boats. If you like the sea, you won't want to leave the ship, like the many regulars who return year after year to enjoy a sedentary cruise in this living maritime museum on the shores of Concarneau.
