  • The traditional Kerjeanne biscuit factory, specialising in caramel and salted butter, will dish you up the best authentic Breton baking.

Kouign-amann is the most well-known type of Breton cake but there are lots of others. Just on the edge of the village of Belz, the Kerjeanne biscuit factory store is a real foodie heaven with its great selection of shortbreads, cakes, pound cakes and Breton 'palet' biscuits. Of course there are toffees and chocolates too, and everything comes straight from the ovens of the family-run factory. And you won’t miss a thing in the manufacturing process as the factory can be seen just beyond the shop. All the products are individually made by their pastry-cooks and confectioners using Breton butter and organic buckwheat flour. Even better than homemade! Fancy finding out more? The biscuit factory organises short visits which must be booked in advance.
