  • Salt production, market gardening, shellfish gathering...This lively museum presents the traditional trades and activities of Saint-Brieuc bay. Located in an old brickworks, it also organises contemporary art exhibitions as well as arts and crafts fairs.

Overlooking the bay of Saint-Brieuc, La Briqueterie is a museum devoted to the traditional trades of the bay’s inhabitants. The salt works where salt was extracted from the sand, market gardening and even shellfish gathering are presented here in a fun and educational way with lots of videos and models to look at. In this converted brickworks, contemporary art exhibitions are also held regularly, where cultural heritage comes face to face with street art and multimedia. La Briqueterie also organises arts and crafts fairs with workshops and shows: the Pont des Arts Sonores in June and the Nuit du Feu during the national Cultural Heritage days in September.
