    Careful, it’s enormous! What is? The house special of course! 3 meats in 3 sauces: steak in red wine, peppered fillet of duck and lamb chop in mushroom sauce. All on the same plate – after you’ll need to have a nap! "Ah yes, it’s a hearty meal alright”, smiles Sébastien Legaud, chef and owner of the hotel restaurant La Croix Verte. “You get about 300 to 350g of meat per person!" It’s traditional cuisine at this former 14th century post house where "Henri IV and Napoleon III" both stopped. With local products and creamy dishes such as fillet of wild sea bass, with vegetable brunoise (finely diced and quickly cooked) and a creamy langoustine sauce. And watch out for the excellent Bordeaux vintages which embellish the 240-strong wine list!
