  • Facing the sea, La Forêt-Fouesnant is a town with a nautical feel. Many a skipper has dropped anchor in the port or its long sandy beach.

A truly typical seaside town, fresh sea air blows through every corner of La Forêt-Fouesnant. Lulled by the muttering waves in the old port, the majestic 16th century granite church keeps a watchful eye on the beach, sheltered from the winds and running the length of the sea front. It's worth knowing that Port-la-Forêt marina is the third largest in southern Brittany and a training ground for some of the Atlantic's best sailors. Follow in their footsteps on board a sailing boat or launch, head for the Glénan islands to discover some fantastic marine landscapes. Sneak away on bike or foot and check out some of the 40km of trails that criss-cross the countryside. Perfect for water-sports, the site is also well-known for its magnificent golf course that overlooks the bay.
