La Grignote
La Grignote: great taste with no barriers
Restaurant, Creperie
in Saint-Malo

Off the beaten track in Saint-Malo, come and snack on a few crêpes or galettes (savoury buckwheat pancakes) at Stéphane Groult’s place.

If you think that anything outside of the walled town isn’t worth a visit, La Grignote is here to prove you wrong. Having given up his spot by the castle in Vitré, Stéphane Groult, is going “back to roots” here as he was actually born in Saint-Malo. Just walk along the promenade for a short while and you’ll find the place. Inside you’ll see just one forlorn seagull to remind you that you are by the sea. Other than that, you’ll find elegance, contemporary style and a kitchen which opens out...
Other than that, you’ll find elegance, contemporary style and a kitchen which opens out onto the dining room. Nothing to hide here! La Grignote proudly presents scallops, shrimps, mushrooms, creamy mussel sauce and seaweed; plenty of flavours from the sea to keep the seagull happy! The hardest part is deciding whether to choose a seafood crêpe, one from the mountains or some country-fare, like the chitterlings sausage and smoked bacon in mustard sauce.
