A forest right in the middle of town

La TyrolienneLa Tyrolienne
  • As you enter Lorient, la Tyrolienne Park brings thrills within reach of the city visitors with eleven treetop adventure courses.

Don’t be fooled, though, the Tyrolienne is not situated in the heart of a forest but next to the exhibition centre of Lanester. Although situated behind the parking of the CGR (Circuit George-Raymond) cinema, visitors quickly forget that they are in an urban environment. Hidden in a 4-hectare wood, the park offers eleven courses of safe nature climbing out of which four are accessible to children aged three and over and seven are reserved for adults. Choose your course according to your height. Your agility will be tested as you take part in a range of workshops where you will have to work hard to maintain a precarious balance be it on a monkey bridge, a weighbridge, a barrel bridge or a rotating log bridge. That is without mentioning the suspended swing, the pommel horse and other Chinese bridges. The cherry on the cake: a mega 150-metre zip-line. Aimed at teenagers from the age of 15, the star treetop attraction is 19 metres high and includes flying skating and wall climbing.
