In unique wooded surroundings by the Scorff river, the Auberge de Pont Calleck has been brought back to life by a young couple full of tasty ideas…
A vast chalet stands in front of a dense forest, behind which rushes a lively river…No, we’re not in Canada, although it’s hard to believe there are no salmon leaping from the turbulent waters we can see from our table! Pretty as a postcard – of Brittany! We are in the Scorff valley, in Morbihan, at the Auberge de Pont Calleck, home of Alexandre and Tifenn Le Guénic. The scenery reminds Alexandre a little of the years he spent in the kitchens of Michelin starred restaurants in Switzerland, before working at Le Tumulus in Carnac. Here he offers us a taste of modern Breton cuisine, such as scallops with parsnips, mango coulis and poppyseed crunch. And now there’s a lovely little vegetable garden to make that post-prandial stroll even more enjoyable… -
