  • Tucked away in the western corner of Brest, a city with a lot to offer, Le M is packed with good taste. It's a ray of sunshine, with an exotic touch added in the kitchen by chef Philippe Le Bigot.

    As soon as you enter the garden of this town house where Charles de Gaulle once spent the night, you just know, as did the General, that you are going to be spoiled. Le M is packed with good taste, and brings a bright dash of colour to the city of Brest. You cannot fail to notice the attention to detail Bruno Diabaoui brings to the décor, the welcome and the dining experience. Bruno took over Le M in 2008, with Philippe Bigot in charge of tantalising the taste buds. After working in the West Indies, the Michelin-starred chef now enjoys showcasing the best Brittany produce, such as 'ormeaux' - a clam-like local shellfish - citrus fruits and exotic flavours such as ginger, of which the chef is particularly fond. He creates food that is clever and fruity, sweet and sour, and uses spices to unlock new flavours in lobster (mango vinaigrette), cod (ginger persillade) and pigeon (spices and cocoa), among other delicious concoctions.
