Le Maltess

From Dinan to St. Malo, the banks of the Rance estuary are full of little creeks that are home to attractive marinas and a rich variety of birdlife. Tourists with a taste for good food can enjoy cruises on these calm and soft-hued waters aboard the Maltess all year round. The barge has been refurbished as a panoramic restaurant where guests can enjoy their meal as they glide along. It is moored close to the Châtellier lock at Saint-Samson-sur-Rance, and can accommodate up to 110 people. It's an ideal spot to meet friends for cocktails or enjoy a meal with the family. The menu here gives pride of place to its seafood dishes, including shellfish, crab and various kinds of fish, prepared by Marie, the chef. For a full-length cruise, which turns round in the harbour at Dinan for the return journey, you should allow two and a half hours.
