The manoir de Poul, built in 1613, really exudes Breton history. The manoir de Poul, built in 1613, really exudes Breton history. It was the home of the Lords of Mellionnec for a long time, as well being the home of singer and storyteller Glenmor, famous for his passionate commitment to defending the Breton identity. These days, an American family with a lilting accent watch lovingly over this delightful rustic manor’s stones and beams, as well as a table d’hôte dinner table with cosmopolitan flavours. Two cosy dwellings welcome visitors looking for some peace and quiet in Central Brittany close to the Nantes-Brest canal, one of them being a family unit for six people. The manor woodlands (15ha) features wells, a wash-house and an old chapel and is in itself a wonderful place to enjoy a walk.
