One used to work in the kitchens at the Rochevilaine restaurant. The other used to work with Georges Blanc in the dining room. You won’t find better references than those at the Vieux Quartiers restaurant. And it's not just on their CVs that Gaétan Gilloury, the owner, and David Le Bras, the chef, look good. The food is excellent, too: grilled lamb shank, served with haricot beans, tomato and cream, sautéed white pudding with roast apple and celery purée or delicious poached cod fillet...

The food is excellent, too: grilled lamb shank, served with haricot beans, tomato and cream, sautéed white pudding with roast apple and celery purée or delicious poached cod fillet with crushed potatoes and a meat jus! There's something to suit all tastes and even the ‘choucroute de la mer au beurre blanc’ (seafood with pickled cabbage in a wine, lemon, cream and butter sauce), a recipe from Gaétan's parents, has reappeared on the menu by popular request. As you eat, watch the scene from the new terrace on this picturesque pedestrian street in La Roche-Bernard!
