  • At the entrance to the bay of Lorient, the Picasso lodges accommodate visitors in an authentic 1950s’ railcar, fitted with furniture from the period.

In Lanester, a restaurant can conceal a lodge. Situated along the Paris-Quimper line, the Auberge du Chemin de fer has installed railcar X3876 in its garden, known as the Picasso model for its funny cabin in the shape of a cubist nose. A studio and an apartment for six people have been created in the car and the machine room. The lodges all have modern facilities (Wi-Fi, TV, air-conditioning, heating, double glazing, etc.) but have kept the SNCF decoration from the period - the benches, the fold-up trays and even the blankets! Children can try out the driver's cap and borrow a tablet on which to view photos of the building site, cartoons and games on the theme of the train. Each apartment has its own kitchenette to prepare breakfast or meals to enjoy on the terrace, in front of the level crossing when the restaurant is closed!
