  • In the former presbytery of Ploubazlanec, Milmaran Cultural Centre showcases the maritime history of the Côte de Goëlo, closely tied in with the Merchant Navy and cod fishing.

  • The sea, fishing and long-haul voyages? Almost a religion in these parts. So it's no surprise to find the Milmarin centre housed in a former presbytery. This cultural centre, opened in 2017, employs modern technology alongside memorabilia from the past to immerse visitors in the history of the offshore fishing industry and the men who played a role in it. The sea, fishing and long-haul voyages? Almost a religion in these parts. So it's no surprise to find the Milmarin centre housed in a former presbytery. This cultural centre, opened in 2017, employs modern technology alongside memorabilia from the past to immerse visitors in the history of the offshore fishing industry and the men who played a role in it. The exhibition entitled "L'appel du Large" (The Call of the Sea) will introduce you to the little-known world of the Merchant Navy (training, trades, ports, globalisation, etc.). The "Mémoire d'Islande" (Memory of Iceland) museum brings alive the epic voyages of the sailors who went away for months on end, fishing for cod off the coast of this Scandinavian island. In The Docks, a collection of 5,000 documents and books, compiled by a former officer in the Merchant Navy, will interest those who want to find out more about this subject.
