  • With around 3000 archaeological artefacts, the ‘Musée de la Préhistoire’ (Museum of Prehistory) invites you to discover the past of the Finistère region and the tip of Brittany.

Archaeological digs carried out on over 180 sites in the Finistère region have uncovered tools, prehistoric and proto-historic pottery, as well as a collection of weapons. Throughout the 3000m2 of exhibition space, the museum presents these archaeological finds: sharpened and polished tools, a collection of pottery, plus daggers, axes, swords and spearheads. The museum has also reconstructed two burial sites, one from Gaulish times and the other from the Early Middle Ages. Outside, you can stroll amongst the dolmen, menhirs, cists, Bronze Age tombs and Gaulish stele. In the summer, join the bronze casting workshop and take home your own piece of history!
