  • This museum in Baden is dedicated to Joseph Le Brix, the aviation pioneer, and to the Farkas, a couple who shared a passion for porcelain and clockwork toys.

The ‘Musée des passions et des ailes’ in Baden is an unusual museum that tells the story of Joseph Le Brix, the aviation pioneer, who was born in Baden in 1899. Mad about flying, Baden made the first South Atlantic crossing with Costes in 1928. He died 3 years later in an accident, making a second attempt at flying from Paris to Tokyo. The rest of the museum is dedicated to a collection donated by Jean and Anne Farkas, comprising an amazing number of old toys, porcelain and clockwork toys… that attract collectors from all over the world. This unique museum also has a collection of around 30 model boats (merchant navy, military, sailboats, liners etc.) and explains the development of the navy from the15th century through to the modern day.
