  • Before you sail round the world, make landfall at the Pointe de Quiberon to brush up on your long-distance sailing and berthing manoeuvres with Nomad Nautic.

You don’t step on board Jean-Pierre’s boat if you’re thinking of taking it easy. This experienced sailor has two passions: the sea and teaching. When you’re with him you’ll soon learn how to steer, how to read a map, how to sail with a spinnaker, and much more. From its berth at Port-Haliguen, Nomad Nautic offers sailing courses and classes to small groups – maximum of three people – and playing your part in manoeuvres is what makes these trips so enjoyable. This sailing boat, (GIBSEA 442; 13 m) has comfortable accommodation and has done a lot of travelling. It's equipped for long crossings. “This means that people on the course can become familiar with all the cruising equipment that is used throughout the world: GPS, radar, wind turbines, solar panels, etc.” Jean-Pierre prepares his pupils for long voyages… although you don’t have to go a long way. But how about signing up for the plankton discovery trip?
