  • The Cesson-Sévigné white water centre allows you to try a range of water sports on some boiling waters.

In Cesson-Sévigné, close to Rennes, there is a strange river. The Vilaine, maybe? Yes and no, as an artificial white water centre has been set up on an arm of the department’s main river. “When open to the general public, this municipal centre is closely monitored to enable activities to be carried out in complete safety and the flow and speed are controlled,” stresses Sébastien Chauvin, the head of the centre. Kayaking, rafting, inflatable canoes are for hire and the activities available to children over the age of eight. After a few explanations about the how to behave and the rules, anyone can try this and start paddling.
