Croix Lighthouse marks the entrance to the Trieux Estuary in the Côtes d’Armor. It is the only lighthouse in Brittany, which is fully open to the public. Set off with your family to discover this exceptional location. This is an unusual sea trip: you can discover a lighthouse that is at sea, which is a privilege your young explorers will enjoy. Leaving from Loguivy-de-la-Mer, near Paimpol, you will climb aboard single-seat or two seater kayaks depending on which you prefer and if you wish to accompany younger children. From there, you will head for Croix Lighthouse, which is easy to recognise with its twin towers. At the foot of the lighthouse, your children will imagine they are the keeper and get ready to face the worst storms. Inside an exhibition retraces the history of lighthouses and their technological evolution… Do you know about Fresnel’s lens? This invention is at the heart of the optical system on these lighthouses and navigational lights. In other words, whatever your age, you can be sure that everyone will return home having learnt a lot.
