A canal, megaliths, festivals… the Oust à Brocéliande area to the east of Morbihan has outstanding natural and cultural heritage. The perfect place to go green.Green and blue everywhere you look! Consisting of 26 towns of character, the rural Oust à Brocéliande area has everything you need to enjoy some slow tourism, the perfect way to discover inland Brittany. Take a trip along the Nantes-Brest Canal. The tow path, specially designed for walkers and cyclists, is a breath of fresh air with circular routes based around locks. Off the beaten track, the area is overflowing with manor houses, châteaux, castles and chapels. It's also a land of megaliths. Visit the Monteneuf site and its 42 mysteriously-aligned ‘menhir’ stones placed 6,500 years ago on the edge of the Brocéliande forest. In summer, Gacilly's photo festival is a 'must'. France's largest outdoor photography gathering, it's dedicated to biodiversity and travel.
